The average salary you need to be able to afford to a rent a home in different parts of the UK has now been revealed.

It is no secret that renting a home has become more unaffordable across the country, given the increase in rent prices as well as the cost of living .

This means that in certain areas, you will need a larger salary than in others to be able to rent comfortably.

Propertymark has analysed the UK's current private rented sector by examining the average agreed rental prices alongside the typical average annual salary required by referencing agencies to affordably rent across the country.
