YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A year after its trip to the state title game, Ursuline won its league and finished with a No. 3 seed in the postseason. However, eventual state semifinalist Hawken eliminated the Irish from playoff competition.

The Fighting Irish return a pair of all-state players in junior Jaylen Gunther (22.3 ppg, 4.6 apg) and Noah Bell (16.2 ppg, 9 rpg) along with a quartet of newcomers to the varsity program in Alex Simon, Nick Markulin, Eddie Barnes and George Camuso.
“We’re looking at a great outlook to our season, with another brutal schedule,” coach Keith Gunther said. “We have a chance to be really good if we can put the pieces of this puzzle together.”
