Rx Kids, Michigan cash aid program for new and expectant moms, has been expanded to six high-need communities in Wayne County: River Rouge, Inkster, Highland Park, Hamtramck, Melvindale and Dearborn

Applications are now open.

Pregnant moms and those with newborn babies in River Rouge, Inkster, Highland Park, Hamtramck, Melvindale and Dearborn can now apply to the program Rx Kids to receive cash payments during pregnancy and for the first six months of the child’s life.

The program is newly available in these communities after Wayne County commissioners greenlit nearly $8 million in funding last week to help launch it.
