KEOSAUQUA, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa Republican US Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks announced she will hold an in-person town hall Monday afternoon at 2pm at the Roberts Memorial Center in Keosauqua, Iowa.

Like many other Republicans, Miller-Meeks has avoided holding in-person town halls for months.

Last month, she hosted a town hall phone call to address the government shutdown. According to her office, more than 10,000 people called in.

This in-person event comes after CNN reported last month that she told attendees at a Johnson County Republicans meeting in August she would hold a town hall “when hell freezes over.”

Rep. Miller-Meeks is running for reelection in Iowa’s First Congressional District.
