Conversations about new stimulus checks are spreading again after President Donald Trump said Americans could soon receive “a dividend of at least $2,000 a person” funded by tariffs.

Trump posted on Truth Social Sunday, Nov. 9: “We are taking in trillions of dollars and will soon begin paying down our enormous debt. A dividend of at least $2,000 a person (not including high-income people!) will be paid to everyone.”
