The basketball season couldn’t have started much better for the Michigan men or women. Both teams cruised to season-opening blowouts and the women followed it up with another dominant performance Sunday.

Michigan basketball, football and hockey were discussed on the latest episode of the Wolverine Confidential podcast.

Michigan men’s basketball set a program record for points in a first game with 121. Michigan committed just eight turnovers and made 19 3-pointers, answering, at least on opening night, questions that lingered from last season.

“I’m watching this thing and I’m like, this is an incredible pace to keep up, especially in college basketball,” co-host Aaron McMann said on the podcast. “I don’t know, is this sustainable?”
