PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Gas prices around the River City continue to climb, according to GasBuddy.
According to the group’s 148 station survey in Peoria, the average price has risen 7.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.21 per gallon Monday.
This makes prices 4.7 cents per gallon a month ago and half a cent per gallon lower than this time last year.
The cheapest station in Peoria was $2.99 per gallon Sunday. The most expensive was $3.39 per gallon - a 40-cent difference.

Around Illinois, the cheapest gas was $2.67 per gallon. The most expensive was $4.79 per gallon - a $2.12 per gallon difference.
Nationally, the average price of gas has risen 4.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.03 per gallon Monday.
