SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - Veterans Day being Tuesday, Nov 11, Sarasota and Manatee County will see many closures in honor of the holiday.

For both Sarasota and Manatee County collection services for trash, recycling, and yard waste will not be impacted due to Veterans Day. Operations will continue as normal but collection times could vary, Sarasota County suggests all residents to place collection materials out by 6 a.m..

Similarly, public transportation in both counties will operate on regular hours. This includes all Breeze services, Manatee County Area Transit, and the Anna Maria Island Trolley.

Libraries in both counties will be closed for the holiday and will reopen Wednesday, Nov 12.
