ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Blood on an airbag helped investigators identify a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run.
Michael Belleville, 51, is charged in connection with the hit-and-run death of Tyler Grosvenor, 30. Grosvenor was driving a motorcycle when it was involved in a crash at the intersection of South Broadway Avenue and Hoffmeister Avenue around 5 a.m. on June 26.
Charging documents state that the vehicle involved in the crash was later found abandoned near the scene with its airbags deployed. Investigators said they tested blood that was on an airbag and matched it with Belleville.
Authorities went to Belleville’s last known address, where he was found hiding in the basement during a canine search. He reportedly had several felony warrants for failure to appear and p
