Police have charged an 18-year-old man in connection with a shooting outside a Whyte Avenue restaurant last month.

At roughly 3 a.m. on Oct. 25, officers responded to a weapons complaint outside a restaurant in the area of 85 Avenue and Gateway Boulevard, said police in a Monday news release.

Police said a group of people were fighting outside the restaurant when shots were fired by a man, which resulted in one woman and three men getting injured.

The four people were sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries by emergency crews and have since been released.
