Snow will continue across Michigan early this week with advisories and storm warnings in place due to potentially heavy lake effect snow. Later in the week, snow is expected to turn into rain under slightly warmer temperatures.
" Additional lake effect snow is expected across parts of northern Michigan today (Nov. 10) with 2-4 inches forecast for most areas near and south of Grand Traverse Bay, and localized 4-6 inches + possible in Manistee County," the National Weather Service in Gaylord said on X on Nov. 10. "Reduced visibility and snow covered roads may lead to hazardous travel."
As of Nov. 10, the NWS has issued a winter storm warning for lake effect snow accumulating 3-9 inches through Tuesday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day , for the following Michigan counties: Mason, Oceana, Alge
