MADISON, Wis. -- President Donald Trump on Monday pardoned dozens of people who tried to file false documents in an attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election, including 10 Wisconsin Republicans.
Trump's pardon attorney Ed Martin published the pardon announcement in an early-morning post on social media. The pardons, importantly, do not affect state-level cases.
Among those receiving pardons were Carol Brunner, Mary Buestrin, Darryl Carlson, Bill Feehan, Edward Scott Grabins, Andrew Hitt, Kathy Kiernan, Kelly Ruh, Bob Spindell and Pam Travis.
That group of Wisconsin Republicans publicly admitted in 2023 to writing a document used to try and overturn Joe Biden's 2020 win in the state. As part of a settlement, the group retracted the document, reaffirmed Biden's victory and agreed
