MILWAUKEE — The woman suspected of fatally shooting a 26-year-old DeForest native in Milwaukee last week is now facing charges.
Jamica Mills, 32, was charged Saturday with first-degree reckless homicide with a use of a dangerous weapon modifier, online court records show.
Ariel Spillner was a pharmacy student at Concordia University Wisconsin and a former DeForest High School athlete.
Milwaukee police were called to the 5100 block of North 39th Street near West Lancaster Avenue right before 9:45 p.m. Tuesday. Emergency personnel located both Mills and Spillner in the building's lower unit. Spillner had a gunshot wound to her left shoulder and was face-down on a sectional couch. Mills had a gunshot wound to her abdomen and was laying on her back with no clothes on.
