WINCHESTER, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Winchester Police Department is investigating an apparent murder-suicide from over the weekend.

WPD confirmed to WSMV4 that officers responded to a home on Whispering Pines Drive for a report of a murder-suicide at about 7:20 p.m. Friday.

Upon arrival, officers found two deceased individuals in the home.

“Detectives with our agency did go and investigate the scene,” WPD said. “They are continuing the investigation into the details surrounding the deaths.”

Police added that they don’t believe there’s any risk to the public. No identifying information on the deceased has been publicly released, as of Monday afternoon.
