BURTON, SC. (WTOC) - A vehicle fire on Trask Parkway caused significant traffic delays Monday morning. Both lanes of Trask Parkway into Beaufort were blocked for around 20 minutes before one lane could be opened, traffic was still delayed until both lanes eventually reopened.

Fire officials said the Burton Fire District went to a reported vehicle fire on Trask Parkway by Martin Lane in Seabrook at around 9:00 a.m.

When firefighters got to the scene they said they found a passenger vehicle with heavy fire coming from the engine. According to firefighters, they were quickly able to bring the fire under control.

The driver and occupant were not injured in this incident, according to the Burton Fire District. This fire remains under investigation.
