The country is waiting for answers from the U.S. government as the U.S. Senate has reached a tentative deal to reopen the federal government . That deal still has to go through the House and the president before it’s finalized and it does include funding for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program).
In the meantime, states are fronting their own money to fund the program for the month of November. That includes Connecticut, which loaded money onto EBT cards over the weekend.
