TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The victim in a shooting on the southside of Tucson was killed after he went to confront his sister's boyfriend who allegedly had a domestic dispute with the woman, according to an interim complaint.
Arturo Gastelum, 24, died from a gunshot wound after a shooting at a home in the 4600 block of South Calle Jon on Nov. 7. Jerome Middleton III, 21, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder on Nov. 8, following the deadly incident.
Investigations by Tucson Police revealed Middleton was in a relationship with Gastelum's sister. According to an interim complaint, a domestic dispute between Middleton and Gastelum's sister happened in the evening of Nov. 7.
The 24-year-old victim drove to the suspect's parents' home after he was advised of the domestic dispute.
