PlayStation’s latest PlayStation Portal console update has gone down well with its owners, who might actually get some use out of the system now.
I remember when the PlayStation Portal was first announced it was severely roasted by fans and for good reason.
Aside from not being much of a looker, a handheld system that requires a constant connection to a PlayStation 5 was laughable, especially in comparison to the Nintendo Switch and the Steam Deck.
Once the dust settled though the value of the PlayStation Portal was a bit more apparent, as while it doesn’t have widestream appeal it does cater to PlayStation 5 owners who share their console with others in the household, and those who don’t want to sit in front of a TV.
