LONG BEACH – Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson continues to tout the safety of his City while people continue to either be stabbed or shot in the nearly 78 square mile city on a near daily basis.
Two men were stabbed over the weekend, in less than 24 hours.
A suspect was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly stabbing a man during a dispute in Long Beach, authorities said Sunday.
Officers dispatched at about 8:20 p.m. Saturday to a report of a stabbing in the 700 block of Cherry Avenue located a man suffering from stab wounds to his upper and lower body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
The suspect was still at the scene.
