ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. ( WWSB ) - St. Petersburg Police investigated a man reported to be walking up and peering into the windows of vehicles parked in driveways at 2 a.m. on Nov. 9.
When confronted by police officers, Cornelius Edwards, age 26, ran away but was eventually arrested near 86th Avenue North and 14th Street North.
According to police, Edwards was wearing a ski mask, gloves, and had two handguns on him. Allegedly, one of the handguns was stolen in a vehicle burglary the day before.

He was charged with loitering and prowling, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.
Authorities said that Edwards was also linked to at least six recent cases under investigation in the area.
