New ferry routes and a brand-new landing at Sunset Park’s MADE-Bush Terminal are set to make it easier for Brooklynites to connect across the city — all part of a major overhaul of the NYC Ferry system announced Monday.
The overhaul will expand service between boroughs, link Staten Island to Brooklyn for the first time, and bring faster, more frequent rides along the South Brooklyn route by the end of 2025.
NYC Ferry announced on Nov. 10 a revamped ferry service running between the boroughs, as well as the expansion of the East 34th Street Ferry Terminal and two new landings at East Harlem 125th Street and MADE-Bush Terminal in Sunset Park.
The NYC Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), the agency that runs the ferries, said the additional service is part of its Ferry Optimization
