Springfield native’s new book inspired by upbringing in Six Corners neighborhood

SPRINGFIELD — As a child growing up in the city’s Six Corners neighborhood, Rodney Jenkins spent many days wondering how to fit in with his peers at school.

It’s a challenge that youth today still face, he learned in a recent conversation with his nephews.
