Professional women’s hockey is coming to Hamilton — for a night.
The PWHL announced Monday that the city will host one of 16 neutral-site games during its 2025-26 Takeover Tour.
The matchup between the Toronto Sceptres and Seattle Torrent takes place on Jan. 3 at TD Coliseum, with puck drop at 2 p.m.
Nick DeLuco, general manager of TD Coliseum, said in a statement that hosting a PWHL game is an “incredible honour” and “a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the next generation of elite athletes and continue growing the game at every level.”
“We’re proud to open our doors to this milestone moment for women’s hockey in Canada,” he added.
