Event for Hoosiers interested in running for office

Purdue Extension and Porter County Elections will host “Elected Leadership: Running for Office” from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Ave., Valparaiso. This free event will provide a practical introduction to the process of running for local government positions, the filing requirements and the offices up for election in 2026. Participants will hear directly from election officials, political party representatives, and current officeholders who will share their insights and experiences.
