ELMIRA, N.Y (WETM)--- The six-time Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots is coming to the Clemens Center in Elmira.

Performers say the show has something for everyone. Justin Woody, who plays Lola, shared his excitement for the upcoming production.

"It has comedy in it, it has serious moments in it, and it's a beautiful balance of both of those things, so whether you like drag or like gay people or like any of those things, you can come and watch the show and it can help you," said Woody.

The wardrobe supervisor, Sheridan Parkinson, explained the show's overall message that everyone should take away after watching it.

"The root of the story is two strangers coming together and becoming the closest of friends out of their differences," said Parkinson.
