NEW DELHI: Intelligence inputs suggest that Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed is planning to launch attacks on India from Bangladeshi territory. Fresh reports indicate that militants based in Pakistan and operating under Saeed’s command are preparing new offensives. Sources in the intelligence community say Bangladesh is being turned into an emerging launch pad for these operations. These details surfaced in a video released on October 30.

In the video, Lashkar commander Saifullah Saif says, “Hafiz Saeed is not sitting idle. He is getting ready to attack India through Bangladesh.”
