The trial of a Calgary murder suspect took a dramatic turn Monday when his lawyer asked that the father of his alleged suspect be banished from the courtroom.
Defence counsel Rebecca Snukal asked Justice Lisa Silver to take the rare step of ordering the dad removed from the courtroom gallery after she said her client was intimidated.
The man’s son, who can’t be identified because he was a youth at the time, is testifying in the Calgary Court of King’s Bench trial of murder suspect Robert Joseph Matthews.
