PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WTVM) - Kenneth LeRoy Funderburk, 89, a prominent Phenix City attorney, entrepreneur, author and artist, died peacefully Nov. 8, 2025, at the Columbus Hospice House.
Funderburk, who practiced law in Phenix City for more than 60 years, was also known for his diverse interests and accomplishments. He was a published author, a respected artist, an accomplished sailor and a world traveler. An avid singer, he lent his voice to church choirs in Phenix City and Columbus, most recently with the choir at First Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia.
A celebration of Funderburk’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Columbus, Georgia. Dr. Jimmy Elder will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens in Pheni
