Karnataka IT and BT Minister Priyank Kharge said the state remains India's undisputed technology powerhouse, accounting for 40% of the country's AI skillsets, 47% of all global capability centers (GCCs), and 40% of total IT exports.

"I'm exporting ₹4.1 lakh crore worth of IT and IT-enabled services," Kharge told CNBC-TV18 in an exclusive interview. "Our next closest competition, Telangana, stands at ₹2.1 lakh crore, and it will take them another 30 years to catch up."

He added that Karnataka ranks eighth globally in the startup ecosystem and continues to lead in innovation, R&D, and academic talent. "Whether it's innovation, skillsets, or academia, it's all here in Karnataka," Kharge said.
