MECOSTA COUNTY, MI – Two were injured after a driver lost control in the ice on southbound US-131 near 17 Mile Road in Cedar Springs this morning, police said.

The crash happened at 8:51 a.m., according to a news release from the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office.

An SUV lost control and overturned the ditch, according to the release. It was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

A 19-year-old female and 19-year-old male were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Deputies were assisted by Meceola Central Dispatch, Mecosta County EMS, and Big Rapids Fire/Rescue.
