U.S. Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva could be sworn in as soon as this week, as Congress makes progress on reaching a deal to reopen the government.
An end to the government shutdown became more likely over the weekend, when eight Senate Democrats broke ranks Nov. 9 to advance a GOP-backed funding plan. House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-Louisiana, has advised lawmakers to start making their way back to Capitol Hill for voting.
