The Saskatchewan Roughriders are set to play in the Grey Cup for the first time in 12 years.
After beating the B.C. Lions 24-21 in the West final , the Roughriders booked their ticket to the CFL’s championship game for the first time since 2013, where they will take on the Montreal Alouettes, who are back after winning it all in 2023.
On Monday afternoon, Roughrider fans gathered at Mosaic Stadium to send the team off to Winnipeg ahead of the game on Sunday, where some will be making a return trip to the Grey Cup while others will be making their first appearance.
“A few of those guys in that locker room have been the Grey Cups and been on the winning side and the losing side, and you don’t remember (the divisional final) moment if you don’t go 1-0 next week,” said Roughriders head
