Jurrien Timber “should have been red carded” in Arsenal ’s draw against Sunderland , says former Premier League referee chief Keith Hackett.
The Dutchman started at the Stadium of Light and was in the wars during the first half as a clash of heads left him requiring lenghty treatment and subsquently bandaged up .
Timber was involved in another flashpoint as he caught Sunderland midfielder Enzo Le Fee late upon protecting the ball.
The incident went unnoticed by referee Craig Pawson and VAR as the Arsenal defender avoided any punishment.
