Police are investigating the “unexplained” death of a child in Fife as tributes pour in. ‌

Emergency crews raced to Inverkeithing at around 10.20am on Monday October 10 after being made aware that a child had died. ‌

The death is being treated as “unexplained” and a post-mortem examination will be carried out. ‌

The force have said that enquiries are ongoing, reports STV News.

Tributes for the little-one have since flooded in on social media.

Susan Ford wrote: "How very sad a little soul gone to soon thinking of all the family." ‌

Erin Bathe added: "Deepest condolences to the parents and family."
