MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Nevile Charter Association has applied to convert Neville High School into a Type 3 charter school. NCA is a separate organization and is not affiliated with Neville High School.

Since this is another attempt to convert, the same procedures from previous applications will apply to the current application :

Monroe City School Board must first consider and vote on the application

If the school board doesn’t approve the application, the chartering organization may appeal to the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The faculty and staff of Neville High School must approve the conversion through vote.

Additionally, a majority of parents of Neville High School students must vote in favor of the conversion.
