SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame defeated Navy 49-10 on Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium, extending their winning streak to seven games in a dominant performance against their rival.
The Irish led by just 11 points at halftime before scoring 28 unanswered points in the second half to pull away from the Midshipmen.
Quarterback CJ Carr threw for 218 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. Running back Jeremiyah Love led the team with 94 yards on the ground and two scores.
Freshman kicker Erik Schmidt went a perfect 7-for-7 on extra points after the Irish went just 1-for-3 on extra points in their previous game at Boston College .
Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman said he was pleased with the overall performance by all three phases of the team.
