GROVETOWN, Ga. (WJBF) - The City of Grovetown started its Veterans Day celebrations early.

On Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, community members gathered for a special ceremony in Veterans Park. Those who attended came together to remember those who served.

"Proud to put this hat on, to let women know, especially that I'm a woman veteran. You know, women have fought for so many rights," said Ceretta Smith, a councilwoman for the City of Grovetown. "And to be able to be in the armed services, I'm proud to be a woman and to represent that. And I hope that young girls that are watching are inspired.

Grovetown leaders said they hope the event continues to grow and see more people attend next Veterans Day.
