A couple of good Samaritans in Florida came to the rescue after a man became trapped inside of a burning car last week.

Video from Clearwater Fire and Rescue captured the moment when two citizens pulled a 74-year-old Clearwater man from his burning Porsche and away to safety.

The incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. Friday on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard in Clearwater, according to NBC affiliate WFLA in Tampa . Police did not initially say what caused the fire, WFLA reported.

One of the good Samaritans, David Calderon, told WFLA that he was riding his motorcycle to work when he came across the scene. He initially thought others at the scene were just trying to put out the fire before realizing there was someone trapped inside the vehicle.
