OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Creighton junior forward Josh Tonwley-Thomas will miss 6-8 weeks after having “successful surgery” on an undisclosed injury, head coach Greg McDermott confirmed Monday.
The Creighton Prep alum is coming off a career-high six points in just five minutes in the season-opening 92-76 win over South Dakota.
“He had successful surgery and had it fixed,” McDermott said.
Rotations are also being more clearly defined. McDermott said Serbian freshman center Aleksa Dimitrijevic will redshirt the season.
“Aleksa wasn’t able to be here this summer, so obviously that sets you back in itself,” McDermott said. “He’s made really good progress and I think the opportunity for him to work with (Head Coach of Athletic Performance) Jeremy Anderson in the weight room and work on his body
