KERR COUNTY, Texas - Multiple families of the ‘Heaven’s 27' have filed a joint lawsuit against Camp Mystic, alleging gross negligence and reckless disregard for the safety of their children.

The families of five campers and the two counselors who died in the July 4th floods have filed suit in Travis County against Camp Mystic, its owners, and affiliated entities.
The suit claims that despite knowingly operating in a high-risk flood zone, the camp "put profit over safety."
"The Camp chose to house young girls in cabins sitting in flood-prone areas, despite the risk, to avoid the cost of relocating the cabins," says the lawsuit. "The Camp chose not to make plans to safely evacuate its campers and counselors from those cabins, despite state rules requiring evacuation plans
