MANCHESTER, N.H. —

New Hampshire Sens. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan are facing criticism from within their own party after helping broker a bipartisan deal to reopen the federal government on Sunday.

The deal would fund the government through Jan. 30 and includes money for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program as well as other programs.

It would also reinstate federal employees who had been furloughed or received layoff notices and provide them with back pay.

Eight senators, including Shaheen and Hassan, broke with Democrats to move the bill forward. Some Democrats opposed the plan because it does not extend the Affordable Care Act's health care subsidies, which are set to expire at the end of the year.
