CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Snow flurries appeared across the Charlotte area on Monday as an Arctic blast swept through the southeast.
WCNC Charlotte viewers from Charlotte, Matthews, Clover, and Fort Mill, among other places, sent in photos and videos of snow flurries falling.
A freeze warning is in effect for the entire Charlotte area until 9 a.m. Tuesday. The following counties are under the freeze watch: Anson, Burke, Cabarrus, Catawba, Chester, Chesterfield, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lancaster, Lincoln, Richmond, Rowan, Stanly, Union and York.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for Ashe, Avery and Watauga counties in western North Carolina until 7 a.m. Tuesday. The National Weather Service issues this alert when winter weather will create travel difficulties although it will not meet w
