KINGSTON, N.Y. — A prosecution witness testified Monday that his analysis of data from the police cruiser driven by Christopher Baldner showed that the former state trooper twice rammed the Dodge Journey driven by Tristin Goods within a nine-second span at speeds nearing 130 mph.

“I concluded that the Dodge Charger rammed the back of the Dodge Journey in the first collision … and there was a subsequent collision where the Dodge Charger impacted the Dodge Journey again and that (Balder) did not attempt to steer away from the collision, that (Baldner) steered into the collision,” said Richard Ruth, an expert witness on the analysis of data from vehicle event data recorders.
