GLASGOW, Ky. (WNKY) – T.J. Samson Community Hospital celebrated the grand reopening of its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on Monday afternoon, marking a major investment in advanced newborn care for families across the region.
Hospital leaders, staff, and community members gathered to tour the newly renovated space, which features the latest medical technology, expanded capacity, and a family-centered design. The project aims to keep families close to home while providing high-level care for the most vulnerable newborns.
“This space allows more privacy for our families, which helps promote bonding and breastfeeding, something we really focus on in this unit,” said Megan Ritchie, Director of Women and Newborn Care. “Being able to provide that to our patients is going to be huge.”
