President Trump criticized Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's (D-N.Y. ) handling of the government shutdown in an interview on Monday, saying Republicans bested him in the process.
"I think he made a mistake in going too far,” Trump told Fox News’s Laura Ingraham. “He thought he could break the Republicans and the Republicans broke him."
“I’ve never seen a politician change so much,” the president said. “He was a pretty talented guy. He’s lost his talent.”
