"I think a lot of us take for granted the ability to walk through a door and have that warmth of your own home," says Holden Young, Senior Director for the Chatt Foundation.
As the temperatures drop and the colder months are soon approaching, the Chatt Foundation is doing its part to help our neighbors.
The Chattanooga Regional Homelessness Coalition found that there are 650 people who are homeless in Hamilton County.
As winter approaches, the Chatt Foundation is trying to combat these numbers.
Baron King, the CEO of the foundation, says, "Usually, at the beginning of winter, we will get forty or fifty on any given night we are open." He says they expect this number to increase by more than 140 per night.
