WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Another small earthquake has been recorded in north-central Kansas.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported the quake happened around 6 p.m. Monday in Ellsworth County, about halfway between the city of Wilson and Wilson Lake.

The quake had a magnitude of 2.8 and occurred at a depth of roughly 6 miles, according to the USGS.

The USGS hasn’t received any reports of the quake being felt by anyone in the area, and quakes below 3.0 in magnitude typically go unnoticed.

This is the six earthquake near Wilson in the last two weeks. The largest was a magnitude 3.5.

In August, the Kansas Geological Survey reported that recent earthquake activity in nearby Saline County is expected to wind down.
