Darakhasthu campaign stalls amid technical chaos
The Revenue Department ’s Darakhasthu Podi Durusti ( land subdivision and rectification ) campaign — launched to settle over two lakh pending land cases — has slowed due to widespread operational challenges. The internal review reveals a mix of technical, legal, and logistical hurdles across districts. Many survey numbers remain partly marked as forest or reserved land with undefined borders, while overlapping maps, boundary mismatches, and small unallocated gaps between plots add to confusion. Disputes among multiple holders, absent landowners, and poor internet connectivity in hilly regions have further delayed GPS-based surveys.
