KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — There are multiple Veteran's Day ceremonies tomorrow, November 11, including one in Kernersville and one in Oak Ridge . Organizers are urging visitors to dress appropriately.

As temperatures drop, communities across the Triad are rising to salute those who've stood for us.

Organizers of Veteran's Day ceremonies are urging vets, especially those who are elderly, to dress warmly.

"The population that comes out to these programs usually are more elderly, like Korean War, we still have that, Vietnam. So, we're talking people, 70's, 80's, so, just cautioning you all to dress warmly," said Scott Matthews, Chairman of the Carolina Field of Honor.

Scott Matthews is a veteran himself, serving in Iraq in the early 2000s. He's behind the Veteran's Day festival in Kernersv
