The United States military launched another deadly strike against suspected drug-running boats in the Eastern Pacific on Sunday, killing six people, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said, marking the latest escalation in President Donald Trump’s campaign against what he calls narco-terrorists.
In a post on X, Hegseth said the operation was carried out at the direction of President Trump and involved two lethal kinetic strikes on vessels operated by what he described as Designated Terrorist Organizations.
“These vessels were known by our intelligence to be associated with illicit narcotics smuggling,” Hegseth wrote. “All six male narco-terrorists were killed. No US forces were harmed.”
